This week we’re excited to highlight one of the Sarasota Collection’s amazing custom pieces – a glass-fused dining table made with white lacquer. It’s a great example of the soft contemporary style, which we recently identified as a top trend for fall 2014 and beyond.
Made in Brazil, this fabulous dining table is characterized by strong lines and the clean, crisp white finish. For this look, Pam styled the table with chairs by Lee Industries that add some fluidity. Dinnerware by Urban Oasis completes the setting (see what we did there?) and adds dimension. The driftwood sculpture in the center of the table pays homage to the Gulf of Mexico and adds a beach-y charm without any kitsch.
The fun, funky end chairs are attention-grabbing, yet don’t overwhelm the clean, modern look… the perfect embodiment of soft contemporary. Marcus explains, “This gorgeous dining table and accessories are totally livable and easy — but still make a statement.” A look like this could be a simple upgrade to a dated dining room that would still complement most homes’ existing decor.
